Turn your musical dreams into reality!
Have you ever wanted to write a song but have been unsure how to start, or begun the process and hit a block, or are you simply curious about the creative process?
Before the advent of television and internet, music was something that most people did as a way of entertaining themselves, connecting with others, and as a way of communicating. In recent times music has become perceived as something only musicians do. This fun and engaging workshop will put paid to that idea, and help you to unlock your own potential as a songwriter.
Suitable for anyone, over the age of 18, from complete beginners to those more familiar with songwriting. If you play an instrument, please bring it along!
Song Writing For All will be led by award winning songwriter and music producer, Iain Petrie. Iain has released 2 albums in his own right, produced over 30 albums for other artists, and ran the highly successful music project for young people, ‘Inspired! The Creative School for Young Musicians’. He is also a session musician and currently the bass player for legendary country guitarist, Albert Lee.
